About This Grass
An aggressive, low-growing annual weed with a sprawling or ascending habit. Color is typically light green to bluish-green. It can reach heights of 6 to 24 inches if left unmowed. Distinctive digitate or finger-like raceme seed heads appear in late summer.
Blade Characteristics
Coarse texture, width typically 4-10mm, flat, pointed tips, rolled in the bud (vernation). Has a membranous ligule and lacks auricles, often featuring hairs on the leaf blades and sheaths.
