About This Grass

An upright, grass-like perennial weed featuring triangular stems and yellowish-green leaves. Can grow up to 1-3 feet tall if left unmowed, often growing faster than surrounding turfgrass. Produces yellowish-brown, spikelet-type flower clusters.

Blade Characteristics

Leaves are grass-like, glossy, yellowish-green to bright green, medium width (3-8 mm), folded in the bud with a V-shaped cross-section. Stems are distinctly triangular in cross-section. Ligules and auricles are absent.
