About This Grass
Forms a lush, dense, medium-textured turf with a vibrant medium-to-dark green color. Exhibits a fine-to-medium texture and shiny undersides of the leaves. Can grow 1 to 2 feet tall if unmowed, but maintained at low mowing heights as a dense lawn.
Blade Characteristics
Blades are medium in width (2-4mm), flat, with pointed tips and glossy undersides. Vernation is folded in the bud. Features prominent parallel veins on the upper surface, a membranous ligule, and small clasping auricles.
Root System
Fibrous root system with moderate depth. Does not produce rhizomes or stolons, relying entirely on tillering for density. Moderate thatch-forming tendency and exceptionally rapid germination and establishment speed.
