About This Grass
Forms a lush, dense, blue-green to dark green turf with broad, flat blades. Typically maintained at heights between 2.5 to 4 inches. Unmowed, it can grow up to 6-12 inches tall with flattened, thick stems and a spike-like seed head.
Blade Characteristics
Coarse texture, width typically 4-10mm. Blades are flat with blunt, rounded tips. Vernation is folded in the bud. Ligule is a fringe of hairs. Auricles are absent. Smooth texture with prominent midrib.
