About This Grass
Forms a dense, low-growing turf with a medium texture and bright blue-green to grayish-green color during the growing season. It goes completely dormant and turns straw-brown in winter. Seed heads feature 3 to 7 digitate spikes.
Blade Characteristics
Blades are fine to medium in width (2-3mm), flat, tapering to a sharp point, with a grayish-green color. Vernation is folded in the bud. Ligule is a fringe of hairs, and auricles are absent.
Root System
Deep, fibrous root system with aggressive rhizomes and stolons. Establishes quickly from sod or seed, creates a moderate amount of thatch, and offers excellent wear recovery.
