About This Grass
Forms a moderately coarse, upright, dense turf or clump with medium-to-dark green color. Unmowed height can reach 2 to 4 feet, while maintained turf is kept much lower. Leaves are relatively stiff, and the plant maintains good color well into autumn and early winter.
Blade Characteristics
Medium-to-coarse width (4-8mm), flat or slightly rolled shape, pointed tips, medium to dark green color, rolled vernation in the bud, prominent veins on the upper surface, rough margins. Features a short membranous ligule, small or absent auricles, and a broad, continuous collar.
